Speed Reading as a Method Measuring Students Reading Skill Through Speed Reading Method

The aim of the research was to improve reading comprehension by implementing the Speed Reading Method at Universitas Tama Jagakarsa. Random cluster sampling was used to select 60 students, who were then divided into two groups: the experimental and control groups. The objective test was used as the research instrument, and the Descriptive Quantitative Technique was employed to describe the data. The results showed that the experimental group, which was taught using the speed reading method, had an average score of 61, a median of 48, and a mode of 66. On the other hand, the control group, which was taught using conventional methods, had an average score of 59, a median of 59, and a mode of 60.
